This includes employees who:
- Classify, package, mark, label, or load hazardous materials.

Prepare or sign shipping papers.
 - 
Offer hazardous materials to carriers or receive them.
 - 
Operate vehicles transporting hazardous materials.
 - 
Are responsible for compliance with DOT hazardous materials regulations (49 CFR 172.700–172.704).
 
The course will focus on preparing/signing shipping papers, placarding, security, marking and labeling, packaging, loading and unloading vehicles, and other activities regulated by the DOT hazmat regulations.

Virtual RCRA and DOT Hazardous Certification Training will occur on 11/05/2025. It is for hospital employees, medical clinic employees, facilities departments, environmental services departments, plant operations, and safety department employees who require DOT Certification. DOT certification is required every three years. In addition, this class covers RCRA Awareness training, which must occur every year or whenever a change in hazardous regulations affects the employee's job duties.

Are you currently meeting hazmat training requirements?
Every employee involved in shipping, transporting, or handling hazardous materials must receive training to be certified at least every 36 months or whenever a regulatory change affects an employee's job duties. Finally, an employee must be certified in hazmat compliance before performing hazmat activities in the workplace. In addition, this DOT/RCRA Hazardous Certification Class will also provide train-the-trainer basics.

RCRA COMPLIANCE FOR HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATORS OVERVIEW
This Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) course is for large and small generators. RCRA requires that facility personnel conduct training to "perform their duties in a way that ensures the facility's compliance" with hazardous waste regulations.
DOT HAZMAT TRANSPORTATION OVERVIEW
This comprehensive training is for shippers, handlers & transporters. Students learn the latest regulatory changes and receive training in using and applying the 49 CFR manual.
