Pathology Waste Disposal

Pathology Waste Disposal

Pathological waste is regulated medical waste.

MERI disposes pathology waste from clinics, research facilities, morgues and funeral homes.

This includes soft pathological waste, like tissue. It also includes human body fluids and research animal waste. These are treated and disposed of at MERI’s licensed treatment facility. In addition, infectious materials can be collected. These include things like sharps and scalpel blades. Pipettes and discarded glass or rigid vials containing infectious agents also can be collected and disposed.

MERI also collects hard path for destruction by incineration.
